The ground was dyed in sections of purple, green and red, with the flowers and grasses of the four seasons, flowing water motifs and geometrical patterns created in the yuzen-zome （paste-resist） dyeing method. The purple shading seen in cloud-like shapes scattered across the entire kimono adds a vivid touch to this kosode.
