Mirror with Parkeets and Grapes Design

This mirror dates to the early Tang dynasty. The grape and vining plant motif was brought to China from West Asia during the Han dynasty, becoming a poplar decorative motif from the early Tang to the high Tang. Grapes are considered an auspicious motif symbokizing fertility.
